We’re Back (A Letter From the Editor)!

Hello, dahlings. It’s been a while! I know you’re probably wondering where we’ve been (and why you haven’t seen any new content lately). Well, we have some catching up to do.

We took a short hiatus after the Christmas holidays—and for good reason. I felt that it was necessary to take some time off and reflect back to WHY The Happy Joy was created in the first place.

I’m all for supporting others, especially my generation. Community over competition is one of the main principles we millennials live by anyway. But it’s easy for your WHY to get lost in translation when you’re too invested in what other like-minded individuals are doing, because emulation is usually the result of that. So I decided to take a well-needed break from social media to tap back into my original voice and ideas.

Uniqueness is what makes us, us. Although we’re all created in God’s image, He designed each and every one of us with distinct qualities, talents, and abilities. It is not (or has ever been) my desire to bite off of others, and I don’t plan on transforming The Happy Joy into a carbon copy of the many other online communities out there.

At the end of the day, this is not about us. It’s bigger than us, and we’re always making sure that our hearts and minds are in tune with God’s will for this community. We also want to make sure that we’re coming from a place of truth in addition to positivity. While our goal is to inspire and motivate you ladies to live purposeful, fulfilling lives, it’s even more important for us to provide you with Biblically sound wisdom that supersedes our own understanding.

Thank you so much for your love and support! We’re back and ready to roll. And we look forward to expanding this community—beyond the blog—in the many years to come, so stay tuned!
